News Update: Contra 4 comes to PSP
(Virgin.Net UK - 22 June 2007) Marking the 20th anniversary of the action franchise, 'Contra 4' (working title) for the Nintendo DS claims to push 2D side-scrolling action in a new direction.
'Contra 4' takes place two years after the events of 'Contra III: The Alien Wars'. After saving earth from invasion by Red Falcon, Bill Rizer and Lance Bean are confronted with a new extraterrestrial menace: the terrifying Black Viper. Joined by hard-boiled mercenaries Mad Dog and Scorpion, the warriors must once again wage war against an entire army of invaders.
Players jump, shoot, and dodge oncoming hazards and, utilising a new dual screen presentation, the action spans both screens of the Nintendo DS, giving players the opportunity to battle across expansive environment, and allowing for massive boss battles.
A first for the series, 'Contra 4' introduces a grappling hook accessory that lets players grab onto elements of the environment directly above them. Continuing the multiplayer tradition of previous games, 'Contra 4' lets two players battle together against Black Viper's army.
'Contra 4' is planned for release on the Nintendo DS in 2007.

PSP Games can be saved . These save game files can then be transferred to your PSP, and you can play the game from your PSP's memory stick. Assuming you have obtained a game save (either you or your friend had save it earlier or you download it from somewhere), all you need to do is to follow the simple steps outlined below to start playing the games again.
What You Need To Have :
Step 1: Unzip Your Game Save File.
Make Sure You Have Your Game Save File in your computer already. If the Game Save is in ZIP format, you need to unzip the file.
Step 2: Connect Your PSP To Your PC.
Once properly connected, you need to use File Explorer to go into the PSP folder of your PSP.
Once you go into your PSP folder, you will see these folders:
Step 3: Copy The Game Save Onto The PSP.
You will have to copy your game save into this folder. Go back to where you have unzipped the game save. In this example, the sub-folder name is "ULJM05006_DATA". Highlight the whole sub-folder and "copy" and paste inside the SAVEDATA folder.
You need to be careful not to over-write any sub-folders inside the SAVEDATA folder. For example, you you already have "ULJS00002" and you game save name is the same, make sure you do not over-write it. Rename the original sub-folder first before you copy over.
Here you are. All Done! Disconnect your USB and you are ready to play the game on you PSP.
