PSP Game Review: 'Dungeon Maker: Hunting Ground'

Genre: Simulation/RPG
Publisher: Xseed Games
Developer: Global A
Release Date: June 19, 2007

More people are writing about reviews of this game. Among the latest is worthplaying.com. With so much publicity, the expectation on the game will certainly raised for people who has not gotten hold of it.

In Dungeon Maker: Hunting Ground, you help a small town clean up its local monster infestation by building a multi-level dungeon with water fountains, storage rooms, bedrooms and treasure rooms. You'll then return to the dungeon on a daily basis to expand the dungeon and fight its new residents. Numerous town citizens will assist you with your endeavors and even reward you handsomely with gold and other helpful objects if you complete a few quests for them. Dungeon Maker: Hunting Ground utilizes a unique method of character development: You'll increase your skills by eating different food types and utilizing special roots (which you'll need to feed with animal fangs) to increase some of your stats.

Free PSP Game Downloads - Confusion over the Battery Life of New PSP Lite

Find out more about Where To Get Free PSP Games Download

There has been some confusion over the battery life of the new PSP Lite ( PSP 2). First, I heard that it is going to last for 10 hours. Then, there were some clarifications saying the 10 hour battery life was calculated based on the battery power of the current model. If you were to use the "standard" battery, it would last only about 5 hours.

Anyway, we just have to wait until more information become available.

Hands on with Hellboy: The Science of Evil on PSP

Hands on with Hellboy: The Science of Evil on PSP
Source: pocketgamer.co.uk

Product: Hellboy: The Science of Evil
Developer: Krome Studios
Publisher: Konami
Genre: Action, Fighting, Film/ TV tie- in

Evil might be a science, but combat is surely a sport. We know, because going hands on with Hellboy: The Science of Evil in a meeting with Konami at E3 last week, we broke a sweat jamming buttons in combat. While this is unlikely to emerge as the deepest action game around, it ought to at least get your heart rate up with its own style of comic book action.

Hellboy puts you in the awfully large shoes of the titular hero as he attempts to stop villain Hermann Von Klempt from taking over the world. Light on story and heavy on the action, the game draws from both the graphic novel series and recent film in weaving an entirely original adventure. Better still, the scenarios on PSP slightly differ from those found in the console versions of the game, giving it a distinct feel.

PSP Movies - Movies on Demand Coming Soon

Learn About Free PSP Game/Movie Downloads

Source: www.psu.com
News: Movies on demand coming soon to PS3 & PSP
Whilst discussing the re-designed PSP, Peter Dille, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SCE, confirmed that a movie download service was being developed for both the handheld and the PS3.

Dille was speaking to Gamasutra, and although no release window was given, he said the company realised how important such a service would be.

"We didn’t have any announcements about that at the show [E3], but what I can tell you is we’re working on it, we see that it’s critical, not just for PSP but also for PS3, and it’s something we know is super important to get right."

Dille hopes to get the service right first time, in terms of both usability and content, and as such Sony appears to be taking its time to perfect it.

"We won’t have a second chance to make a first impression. If we launch it and it’s not right, we’re going to get creamed. So we want to make sure we get the consumer experience right, get the right content, and we’re working really hard on it. And I don’t think we’re talking about years, I think this is something we could get behind really soon."

Slim PSP To Have 10 Hour Battery

If you are PSP lover, you will be excited to see this news:

Source: www.trustedreviews.com

Author Hugo Jobling
Published 13th July 2007

Gaming site Joystiq has managed to grab some more details on Sony’s new, slimmer, PSP. First up is the inclusion of UMD-cache, which basically means adding in more RAM to the portable console to speed up loading times, not that this is a bad thing of course.

Second on the bill is the long awaited ability to charge the PSP using a standard USB to mini-USB cable, a feature that has been missing far too long in my opinion and will allow owners to transfer files to and from their computers without draining the PSP's battery and therefore having to charge the device during or after doing so.

Joystiq also seems to rate the TV-output of the new PSP pretty well, describing the UMD playback as "fantastic" but warning that games will end up in a box. Adding to this, the slimmer, faster PSP will also feature an incredible 10 hour battery life, over double that of the original unit. Whether these claims translate into real world performance remains to be seen, but if true they could be a real selling point over the currently vastly more popular Nintendo DS.

Comments: I really hope that Sony will put up a solid fight to regain the lost grounds to Nintendo. Certainly, Sony would not give up easily. I am expecting more goodies to come...
